If only our last name wasn’t 9 letters long.

I love this idea, it’s kitchy & precious.  It would be easy to implement.  Definitely Cheap.  It’s graphic & makes a big impact.

For Sean & I, it has two problems: 1) OUR  last name is way too cumbersome to put above a bed & 2) When I say OUR, I really mean HIS, because I STILL haven’t gotten around to changing mine, doh!

Priceless Design Tip: Paint the suckers the same color and call it a day.

Whether its cute little containers you have saved from a destiny of rotting away in the landfill, or odds and ends vessels accumulated from garage sales, thrift stores, and flee markets, this is the perfect way to make sense of random containers and turn them into a “collection” that seems purposeful and worthy of being displayed in your home.

Roman & Williams

I am basically OBSESSED with every room this New York City firm designs.  I love how the rooms simultaneously feel thrown together & meticulously cultivated over time…always with a bachelor-pad-that-a-girl-could-dig-too kind of a vibe.  And they use a  huge mixture of materials and styles, which always makes my heart skip a beat.

Stalling on a Tuesday

Thursday marks the day that we will finally have internet (Verizon aparently has an extremely long wait time for internet hookup) and also that day that I promise to start posting about the new place.

Until then, I’m stalling.  Look at these pretty pictures.  Happy F’ing Tuesday!

P.S. Forever 21 has some rediculously cute stuff right now.  And I am loving their current models and the hair/makeup styling.

P.P.S.  Have you heard of www.stumbleupon.com?  I was probably the last person to know about it but its awesome!  Very good stuff for keeping busy on a monotonous/slow-moving Tuesday.

Just About Perfect

I am in LOVE with this house.  I love the metal bed.  I love the leather chairs (which, btw, it turns out are pretty much impossible to obtain).  I love the mixture of materials against a mostly muted color pallete.  I love that it looks so imperfectly imperfect.
