B. Jones Style

Blogger and stylist Beth Jones has arguably the best style ever.  And most likely the best closet full of vintage clothes as well.  She puts together outfits that I would have never been able to dream up in a million years.   layering dresses, mixing affordable fashion from big box stores and vintage, and seemingly never being at a loss for the PERFECT accessories for every outfit.

Stalling on a Tuesday

Thursday marks the day that we will finally have internet (Verizon aparently has an extremely long wait time for internet hookup) and also that day that I promise to start posting about the new place.

Until then, I’m stalling.  Look at these pretty pictures.  Happy F’ing Tuesday!

P.S. Forever 21 has some rediculously cute stuff right now.  And I am loving their current models and the hair/makeup styling.

P.P.S.  Have you heard of www.stumbleupon.com?  I was probably the last person to know about it but its awesome!  Very good stuff for keeping busy on a monotonous/slow-moving Tuesday.

Just About Perfect

I am in LOVE with this house.  I love the metal bed.  I love the leather chairs (which, btw, it turns out are pretty much impossible to obtain).  I love the mixture of materials against a mostly muted color pallete.  I love that it looks so imperfectly imperfect.

Warm Summer Nights

Here in Southern California, we haven’t really had too too many warm days that turn into warm nights.  It’s mostly foggy mornings that turn into low 70′s days, that turn into what very closely resembles a winter night.  I have not gone out in a tank top at night all summer.  Total Bust!

My seasonal anxiety is already kicking in and I am ready to cook soups and fallish food, to enjoy some (seasonally appropriate) cold weather, and to start wearing my boots.

That being said, I find it necessary to write a letter:

Dear Summer,

Please come to Southern California.  You know, the part of California that is below Northern California.  To be more specific, the part that is on the Coast.  I’d really appreciate it.  I would very much like to be able to transition into fall having experienced at least a couple weeks of evenings spent sitting outside having a cocktail while not wearing a parka.  Do your best, okay?

Love,

Niki

P.S.  Sean and I still aren’t even close to being unpacked (after housesitting for a neighbor for 10 days and a week of backpacking).  House is still a mess.  Tons of posts, DIY projects, and pictures to come soon though.
