Making dinner alfresco in a makeshift outdoor kitchen:

And having the perfect picnic:
Basically I just want to spend some much needed time outdoors…
Sean and I were like 10 year olds at Claires at the Rose Bowl Flee Marlet. We simultaneously loved everything but couldn’t committ to anything. One must really go with a clear cut vision of what they are looking for in my opinion. I had a mental list of about 10 things that I wanted to persue and that was way too many. We ended up falling in love with something that definitely was not on the list (I swear!)….Vintage School Charts. We (slightly embarrasingly due to the fact that we are years away from having kids) plan to hang them in our future baby’s nursery. Long story short, they are amazing and were too cool to pass up. Other things we fell in love with but didn’t buy were pieces of industrial salvage (wire baskets, metal bins, scales, crates), vintage flour sack pillows, and lots and lots of cool midcentury modern furniture.

My cute little hubby proudly displaying our purchase.
A little wood in the bathroom goes a long way in making an otherwise pretty sterile room (which I actually love for the bath) a little more inviting. Even a simple little cluster of branches in a corner could do the trick.

With the onset of spring, I am dreaming of sending people whispy little cards telling them how much I love and miss them. These cards from Dutch Door Press would be perfect.
Framing photos can be shockingly expensive and I am always on the lookout for cheap and creative alternatives (always a favorite is finding mix and match flee market or thrift store frames and painting to match). I loved how these two ideas could be done on the cheap, have alot of impact, and really show off the photos.
P.S. How cute is that little yellow pillow??
I am still working on the post from the flee market, I promise promise I will have that up on monday (I couldn’t find the cord for my camera, just found it…I know…excuses, excuses. Tomorrow is my birthday, and I am turning the big 25. I can’t wait to spend the weekend with my friends and family back home, eating fondue, and going wine tasting. For now, I leave you with a mish mash of inspiration that I really love but didn’t seem to fit into any other posts (Sorry, Lazy Friday).
