I Cant. I Wont. But it’s Killing Me.
25 JanThis is post #2 re: me wanting to cut my hair but needing to resist on account of once I cut it, I will want my long hair back. But after spotting this picture on Aubrey Road its getting harder and harder.
Ace Hotel: Palm Springs
22 JanLast summer I headed to the Ace Hotel in Palm Springs with two of my friends. It was by far the best hotel I have ever stayed in…not necessarily the fanciest or most over-the-top, but the funnest! The little details were incredible, the food was to die for, and the decor was uber chic yet utilitarian at the same time….plus they had alcoholic snowcones! I was even more impressed when I recently emailed the hotel to ask them sources for a few of the items used at the hotel that I fell in love with (herringbone bar towels used as napkins in the Diner & enamelware bowls used to serve ceviche nachos by the pool) and to my surprise received a response back the next day with links to their suppliers. The customer service was truly top notch and I recommend this hip place in the desert to anyone looking to get away.

Something to Talk About
21 JanIt is so hard to find stylish phone cases and if you are as big of a clutz as I am, its an absolute necessity. Chilewich & Griffin have partnered up to make these adorable tweed patterned hard cases that are as cute as they are practical.
Cutest Screen Saver Ever
19 JanI spotted this screen saver on Making it Lovely and I am smitten. I can’t even place what the screen saver on my computer is right now…that’s how boring it must be. I’m rushing home and immediately downloading this tonight…

Availiable for download here.
Closet Envy
18 JanThe rainy weather here in California is making me want to go home and overhaul our closet. While some of these closets are definitely a little over the top, there are some good ideas to take away that can be done on a shoestring budget.
1) Organize clothes by type and then color:

2) Take a que from retail and use metal racks:
3) Incorporate a big mirror:

4) Hang wallpaper or a chandelier for impact and color:
5) Use dividers and bins for accessories:

6) Use an old armoire or bookshelf for shoes or purses:
7) Paint your closet black or add nailheads for a bachelor-esque feel:
8) Make like Carrie Brradshaw and let your closet get a little messy:
